I own a Denon 3805 which is a super amp very flexable. And with your great j.b.l. should give you great stereo sound Just make sure when you buy your center, sourrounds and subwoffer from j.b.l. that they match the 2 speakers you have now matched speakers are very important for involving sound + when you complete your 5.1. speaker system stereo is going to sound awsome and 5.1. digital sound will knock your sockes off keep posting and let us know how this all works out for you stewart

also, i am looking at futureshop.ca and bestbuy.ca stores only because of their no hassle 30 day full money back guarantee if i dont like what i buy

Very Easy: Pioneer 1015

by MrPorterhouse - 4/25/06 8:31 PM In reply to: so from my chosen list what would u suggest ? by inni121

The Pioneer VSX-1015 is simply an amazing A/V Receiver. I own a Pioneer Elite VSX-43TX, but had the pleasure of using a 1014 with a Full JBL Northridge System(E90 Mains, EC35 Center, E30 Rears) for about 1 month. I was storing this equipment in my house for my sister, so I figured I'd set it up and listen to it.

The 1014 is 1 model year older, but WOW, did it sould great with the E90's. I know that you'll love the 1015 with your speakers. I would jump into the 1015 as soon as possible.

thanx for the info!!!

Old Model Numbers

by RoadRunner6 - 4/25/06 10:49 PM In reply to: What is the best receiver for the price for my application by inni121

The current Yamaha's are the 5900 series.

HTR-5950 and HTR-5960. Not much difference. I would go with the 5950. About $350 US, go to www.pricegrabber.com for prices on all. Yamaha electonics home site gives info on all the models. Yamaha is a great buy for the bang.

However, go back to your other post and read my second post. The receiver is not your problem. Put the extra bucks into a quality powered sub.
