Anyone Have a Pioneer Plasma above 7200 Ft. elevation?

I'm really interested in the pioneer pdp-4360. However I live at an elevation of 7200 Feet. I've read the Pioneers are good up to 8500 but the reading is always dated 3+ years ago. I can't risk this type of purchase on such information. Also, I would appreciate any alternative suggestions such as LCD models of similar size.
