Backup vs. Duplicate and catalogs and partitioning

by jefflowy - 4/16/06 4:13 PM

I'm using this one touch drive with Mac OS X Tiger software. It copied everything on my ibook G4 and shows up on my desktop. However, the Retrospect Software and One Touch Manager are beyond my scope..or I set them up incorrectly and perhaps you can't go back....

I have tried to backup...I get an error message saying it is looking for the external drive.

There are also a number of backup "files" however, I get to a window that tells me it cannot find the catalogs for these drives.

AND, I cannot seem to get back to the partition screen. Leaving me with the ultimate problem of still having a start-up disk that is nearly full and being too afraid to delete any files that I'm not quite sure are really backed up.

HELP!! Sorry about the newbie status and incoherent post

Be sure to post this in a Mac oriented forum along with exact versions of both the MacOS and Retrospect for best effect.
