XP startup and shutdown is extremely slow
by bobfree - 4/16/06 8:55 AMReplaced motherboard and cpu from 1.3 celeron to a P4 2.8
added 1GB ddr2 memory.
Now the system takes almost 3 minutes to get to the desktop. Everything works fine after it is up.
Suggestions ???

XP doesn't respond well to motherboard changes. To fix it is likely a clean install is required.
Also, you should post this in the XP Forum.
