Stereo Voice Recorder

by GlennW007 - 4/12/06 1:56 AM

Hi All,

I am looking for a voice recorder device whit these characteristics:

- Records in MP3 format
- Stereo recording
- High quality recording
- High capacity (40GB for example, if there is not such a high capacity device with the above characteristics, I am looking for as high capacity as possible.)
- MP3 files can be coppies to PC

It would be nice if it also plays MP3s, but it is a secondary issue. The price is also negotiable based on quality.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

If you can find it...

The iRiver H340. It's no longer in production, but you may be able to find it on eBay or something. It has line-in recording, to which you can hook up a powered mic for stereo voice-recording, and it has a built-in mic for mono (I think...might be stereo there too) voice recordings. 40GB hard drive, great recording features, standard MP3 player also.

Stereo Voice Recorder

I'm brand new here and was actually going to try to find similar information myself. I've just started looking for digital recorders and in fact just bought the Sony MZ-M10 without any research at a local Guitar Center the other night.I'm doing my homework backwards and not sure if I'm going to keep this as they said I can bring it back if I'm not happy within 2 weeks. It uses 1 GB mini discs so storage is pretty much unlimited if you have the discs and I guess they're pretty inepensive.
It plays mp-3 music and you can connect direct to your pc through a usb port. After I got home I looked online and see that there are different models available and I'm just starting my research to see if I want to keep the one I have. I haven't even played with this one yet!
I see Amazon has various models listed and one of them has great reviews and the one I just bought has only one review and it's bad. I'm trying to see what the diference is. Anyway hope this helps. If I find out more I'll get back to you.
