I've been recently having trouble connecting to the internet. I switched from dsl to cable and i plug in my D-Link dcm-202 and plug the ethernet cable into my comp, the balloon goes from being disconnected to connected. I click on explorer and page cannot be displayed. I right click on my network connection and select repair. The window comes up and says trying to renew and then stopps and says it's 'unable to take the action "renew ip address"'. Plse hlp going insane

If you still cannot connect, I would suggest a call to D-Link support. If you cannot get an IP address, then your computer and the D-Link are not communicating properly. Obviously you will have to use another internet source to read the link info. IE: library or friend
I suggest that those steps by lacsr should help u out to a great extent. Follow the link given by lacsr and most importantly u shall find some steps on ipconfig. This step shall surely help u out in renewing your ip address. For further knowledge on the ipconfig commands, Go to Start> Help&Support and Search for ipconfig or follow this link :-
