I was using my computer the other night when it turned into a blue screen that said to reboot. I did and then the bios screen came up and it said "Boot from CD: error loading operating system"
I inserted my norton antivirus 2006 disk and did "boot from CD-Rom" it said it scanned and nothing was found and it had "A:\>" at the bottom and did nothing else. so I restarted it and the same error message comes up.
What can I do to fix this???
please and thank you.
Check the BIOS screen for:
1) What device is set for boot? Harddrive first is best.
2) Is the BIOS showing the harddrive?
3) If above are normal, boot to the Windows CD and have it check the install. You can run Chkdsk from the recovery console to check the drive.
