Anyone have any information on this product for computers

by thebigmouth - 4/3/06 8:16 AM

I just seen this new product on the web, was wondering if anyone has seen it, it is suppose to keep the inside of your computer clean with disposable filters. Can anyone give me any input on it.

Billions of computers have done without. Your choice.

Do you buy it?

with filters and they collect alot of dust. Good thing, of course. Would I buy the 1 from the link if I didn't have filters already, probably not. I would just open the case every once and a while and clean out the dust.

Do you really need it?

It's a simple solution and may work. However, you can do the same with fabic sofner pads instead and even smell springtime fresh. :) Place a fabic sofner pad on your frt. fan(instake and cut to fit) if yours has one or at least the air inlet as all have them, you may need to remove cover to better place filter and/or just place otuside exposed. But, overall such filters are best used where a truly dirty enviroment(and replaced as needed) or dust is an issue. I know many a factory floor plus those used at concrete plants or quarries are a plus to have. Otherwise, typical home usage just doesn't need them as vacuuming at least once or twice a yr. should suffice.

DO NOT vacumm the inside of your pc, vacumm cleaners produce static electricity and could ruin your harware. I read it right here on CNET.

but need to take care. A batterie power pc vac, a vac with a plastic wand, can of compressed air and a vac to catch the dust.
