can't download macromedia for Knoppix

by ferretboy88 - 3/30/06 5:27 PM

I have a hp model a730n with xp. sometimes I load a knoppix boot cd and mess around. Everything is great except when I go to cnet and can't watch videos.I need to install macromedia to view videos. I have tried many times to install while I was using knoppix. I downloaded the player when I was in xp but can't get it to work still. I have one message that said to put two files(from macromedia) inside the system folder for firefox. I have tried this and it says I can't move these files.

You're probably going to kick yourself when you hear why this is so. The Knoppix CD is read-only. You can't install anything else after you burn it to disc.
