MS05-039 XP - MS05-039 XP in system Tray

by chanelgal - 3/16/06 1:34 PM

I am facing a strange issue on my MS Windows XP - SP2, there a icon similar to automatic windows update appears at the system tray. It gives me options either to Run it Hide it, but the problem is irrespective of option choosen, it keeps recurrring every 10 min. As of now there is no harm that it has done on my machine, but is making system a bit slow.

I have already tried all the popular anti-spyware (Lavasoft, Microsoft) to detect if it is some known issue, but no success.

Does anybody has ever faced the similar issue, or if you are aware of any solution.

Thanks in Advace,
AP

the EWIDO scan and see if that finds it. There's no replacement for SpySweeper. Spybot Search & Destroy, AVG anti-virus and a plethora of others. Search in these forums.

and life goes on...
