I generate some XML from a servlet and try to look at it on a browser. If the root element of the XML is in a namespace, such as <soap:message>, then the XML must also have a namespace defined, ie <soap:message xmlns="...">. This requirement is new in Firefox 1.5, the XML worked fine without the namespace in Firefox 1.0.7. MSIE also behaves similar to Firefox 1.5. Both of them complain that they are unable to see the namespace.
My question is - Is there a way to set up Firefox 1.5 to behave like Firefox 1.0.7? I realize that the new behavior is more correct, but I do not have a xmlns value for the namespace I have defined (no, its not soap, that is just an example, the namespace and protocol are proprietary, which is why I cannot share it here).
TIA
