It’s now out the sirius/freeradio it can schedule and record up to 100 hours of your favorite music, shows or programs and has WIFI availability. It can store personal MP3 music library with microSD memory card support. Nice thing about this one is it can track your favorite sports action with a Personalized Sports Ticker, Sports Alert and My Game Zone. It’s also a commercial-free music. Imagine if you have like this in your hand. What you think guys isn’t it nice? Wish mom will buy me this stuff this coming Christmas.
Me I'm sick of hearing about the ipod. ipod this ipod that. there are a bunch of other great MP3 players out there.I'm not saying the ipod is a bad thing but enough already.
I would like to see something where you pay $5-10 a month and you get unlimited downloads of music in iTunes (that you get to keep if you ever discontinue service, unlike the Lame Yahoo Music Service)
We've had three in a year. Luckily they were covered under warranty, but alas, that has now expired. To repair or replace, that is the question. Both aren't cheap.
Yes I like music, but being fairly smart, I like being informed too, for when I'm not online or watching tv. AM is geat for sports, talk shows, traffic, choice of news (biased of course, but at least some news). FM allows me to be surprised, and points out new music. When I'm home the computer and the tv are on.
Important note, if the reception is not strong and clean, don't bother, I'll be annoyed and only return the purchase to the store.
I'll second that thought. I already posted that the deciding factor for me to buy my first iPod would be an FM tuner, but I've suffered through a couple of awful ones (RCA Rio, anyone?) and the implementation of a tuner must be a good one. It should be able to pick up weak signals easily, and it shouldn't easily overload with strong signals. Too many cheap digital tuners don't have the headroom to handle kick drum or bass lines and end up creating non musical beeps, or distortion. Do the research, put in the time and give us a good tuner.

My iAudio X5's radio sounds just as good as a car radio. Also, AM radio will not be possible without making the iPod very hgue because AM antennas are huge.
Who Cares! Just another noise maker that people plug into their ears and float through their environment without being aware of places, things or more importantly people.
Unhook from the bladders banging you on the head and learn to live.
Meant for people who has to listen to a podcast but would like to listen to music as well. Like music in the background at a set level.
What would be useful is if the ipod would have the functionality of an ipaq. It's got a 60gig hd, why not put some MS Office and Outlook compatibility. The problem is getting all our peripherals witht the right combination of goodie. If your cell has "work" functionality then you're going to sacrifice the fun stuff . . .or carry a brick. If you're already carring an ipod, having some "work" apps on it just makes it that much more useful. Then I can get a cell with a nifty camera and I'm good to go.
... so why not a modified version of Darwin? Apple could even get the source code for iPod Linux and just do some bugfixes and write some useful programs for it.
The iPod as a pocket-sized computer that integrates seamlessly with OS X... now that's thinking different. It might also help ignite the halo effect.
Ipod, schmypod, what a gullible bunch of spoiled brats
we are. Make them clear, so clear they disappear. Can
they give Jobs the same treatment?
Have replaced portable ape recorders in recording lectures at college and professionals schools, frinstance. And at some schools, faculty are making lectures available for iPods!

I don't see why iPods are so expensive. They seem to be poorly manufactured.
What's with the Nano only a few quid/bucks cheaper than a Video?
how about satelite radio?
