Is it possible to run a playstation 2 game on a windows platform?
They do make emulators... weather they work or not I dont know because I never got one. Just spend 50 bucks and buy one.
Sony has sued companies that create emulators in the past and lost, so emulation is, for the most part, legal. However, the issue comes to the game ROMs. Section 117 of the US Copyright Act covers this to some degree, as do other laws, all of which vary by country. In short, downloading and/or ''sharing'' ROM images of games is completely illegal and devices that enable you to make ROM images, and the act of making them, are generally illegal, except under certain circumstances.
Now, whether or not the emulators are illegal, they are unauthorized. (Sony never gave permission for their creation.) With the way the forum policies are worded (''This type of activity includes, but is not limited to, advocating or asking for information regarding software piracy or unauthorized emulators of software or hardware''), such topics are forbidden, whether or not they are technically legal in most countries. Just a few words of caution before someone takes this thread to the next level.
John
I was saying just spend 50 bucks and buy a PS1 or 100 bucks on a PS2.. not an emulator
u need to translate all the .exe and other forms of files from the PS2 disk. then u need to specialize ur computer. its not worth the time and effort.
(learned this from POPSCI) XD
