I've been trying since March to figure out how to switch an mp3 to a 3gp. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This phone is terrible! Well what I mean to say is the dust getting under the screen is terrible. I am on my 2nd t809 and the screen is nothing but a dust collector. I get dust under the screen after only 5 days. I kept it in a Oakley sunglasses microfiber pouch in my pocket and it still didn't help. I am taking this one back for good and picking something else. I'll probably end up getting the RAZR since T-Mobile has no other good phones in the store. I would consider the PEBL but you can only get that one online. I think Samsung quality control should be shot on site for letting this phone get out to the public like this.
I've carried mine in pocket for 3 weeks with no lint problems try rotating the camera lens facing outward
i have tried renaming the file but it won't let me, is there another way or what am i doing wrong
Rename the file in windows before your transfer it to the phone.
I got up to the part about changing the format of the song (Song.mp3 to Song.3gp).
Now do i transfer the song as a file through ''File Manager'' or do i try to upload it as a song ''Edit Sound'' and set as a ring tone?
I've tried to send it to my phone via edit sound but says ''File Format Not Supported'' (file named ''Under Ring tone.3gp'').
Ive also tryed to drop the file song.3gp into a folder using file manager it gives me an error. It will only let me drop into the folder ''other files''.
What do i do!!
I copied to memory card then set it as a ringtone. Stored it in music folder on the memory card.
If you bought it retail it SHOULD come with a 32mb sd micro card. Some have come with 64. I just insert it into phone then use as mass storage and upload it to card then copy to phone and set it as ringtone.
i transfer the .3gp file in the music/sound folder on the memorystick. but that's it...... i can't get any
further......... after i've done everything with memorystick i got into the memorystick folder on my
phone and found the 3pg file and i clicked on it and view option.....but i couldn't find "set as" option.....
so i tried "copy to phone" but i also couldn't find the file that i saved...
later on i found the file in the other folder....and
i still could't set it as ringtone .....
can anyone help me with this problem?????
It may be possible they changed the firmware.
Make sure that when you open the Phone Drive via USB that you have 5 folders (Images, Music, Other files, Sounds, and Videos) and you put the .3gp file into the Music folder. If not then they switched up the firmware.
when i press properties to change the file to 3gp. the category file type is unable to be renamed, is there something i'm doing wrong?
Do no rename the file on the phone, rename it before you transfer it to the phone. Do this on your computer.
Hey do you know how to make your text messages play your ringtones? When a text massage comes in from a certain person that has a ringtone assigned to them how come it doesnt play the ringtone? It only plays the lame ass melodies or it vibrates. Is there anyway to set your phone so that when a text comes in from a person with an assigned ringtone, that ringtone plays?
I am having the same problem. I am getting so frustrated with the whole thing. I am ready to take it back and get another phone.
