The screen is a dust collector!!!

by AKT6168 - 1/27/06 9:33 PM In reply to: Samsung T809 by evansf1

This phone is terrible! Well what I mean to say is the dust getting under the screen is terrible. I am on my 2nd t809 and the screen is nothing but a dust collector. I get dust under the screen after only 5 days. I kept it in a Oakley sunglasses microfiber pouch in my pocket and it still didn't help. I am taking this one back for good and picking something else. I'll probably end up getting the RAZR since T-Mobile has no other good phones in the store. I would consider the PEBL but you can only get that one online. I think Samsung quality control should be shot on site for letting this phone get out to the public like this.

Sending the file to your phone.

by shortyrider3 - 1/25/06 12:17 PM In reply to: Not sure why you are having problems by porscheisamust

I got up to the part about changing the format of the song (Song.mp3 to Song.3gp).

Now do i transfer the song as a file through ''File Manager'' or do i try to upload it as a song ''Edit Sound'' and set as a ring tone?

I've tried to send it to my phone via edit sound but says ''File Format Not Supported'' (file named ''Under Ring tone.3gp'').

Ive also tryed to drop the file song.3gp into a folder using file manager it gives me an error. It will only let me drop into the folder ''other files''.

What do i do!!

memory card

by Janis123 - 1/27/06 9:26 PM In reply to: RE: by dalk

The phone doesn't come with the memory card in it, correct? How do I put the card in the phone and save the files to it once they were converted? I am sooo lost! Thanks

it is included

by dalk - 1/27/06 10:27 PM In reply to: memory card by Janis123

If you bought it retail it SHOULD come with a 32mb sd micro card. Some have come with 64. I just insert it into phone then use as mass storage and upload it to card then copy to phone and set it as ringtone.

Possible Firmware

by theperchik - 2/11/06 2:30 PM In reply to: help!!! i only got up to the memorystick part !!! by thistle012

It may be possible they changed the firmware.

Make sure that when you open the Phone Drive via USB that you have 5 folders (Images, Music, Other files, Sounds, and Videos) and you put the .3gp file into the Music folder. If not then they switched up the firmware.

Do no rename the file on the phone, rename it before you transfer it to the phone. Do this on your computer.

How do you make your phone play ringtones when u get a text?

by Afitch2085 - 2/16/06 1:01 PM In reply to: Not sure why you are having problems by porscheisamust

Hey do you know how to make your text messages play your ringtones? When a text massage comes in from a certain person that has a ringtone assigned to them how come it doesnt play the ringtone? It only plays the lame ass melodies or it vibrates. Is there anyway to set your phone so that when a text comes in from a person with an assigned ringtone, that ringtone plays?
