Hi.
Im looking for a new mp3. I've been looking alot on Archos Gmini xs200 and 202. But is 202 so much better than 200, so i should use the extra money on that? Is there any quality difference? And do any of you have any experince with the mp3s?
Somebody have to know these mp3s?
i'd rather get a different flash player like the zen nano or that really small cube that just came out, but thats just me. i really dont like those gmini flash layers, but i LOOOOVE my gmini 400
Year, cool mp3s! But i need at least 10 Gigabyte. And i think Zen Touch is big and ugly. Isn't the gmini good?
sorry, i thought those gminis were the new flash players. guess they were the budget players. cant really help you then, since i dont own either, but personally, I HATE musicmatch so I myself would stick with the 200. it looks just plain better too to me. then again, if you want pictures and radio, and gotta save 20$, go with the 202. sorry i couldnt help.:(
I was looking at the NORMAL 202 (no xs) but yeah, I'D stick with the 200. i dont know why, i just like it more.
Hmm, the 202 got more battery life, formats and options, what's it that 200 do better than 202?
And is there normal series? I only know the XS, do you have a link? Cant find on google.

As far as I can tell, you're right about the XS 202 having 7 more hours of battery life and two more formats supported (WMA DRM and PCM, alongside MP3, WMA, WAV). I think these are the only differences, which means the XS 200 has no advantages over the XS 202. From looking at Archos' website, the XS 202 just replaced the XS 200. I own the XS 200 and am quite happy with it (I just wish RockBox would support these newer players-- new firmware is always reason enough to party!)
But as i can see, the 202 got a nicer display:

Or can i change that on 200?
I think you're comparing a doctored picture (with a made-up screen) to a real photo. I believe my XS200 manual came with a picture just like the XS202 photo you pointed out. The displays are the same-- they're just presented differently.
Okay, I was wrong. The XS202 has a blue backlight (as opposed to teh XS200's green backlight). The main improvement, though, is the 17-18 hour battery life, much better than the XS200's 10 hours. Read this review:

He also mentions a slower transfer speed, but it was more of a casual observation, it seems.
The basic navigation, etc. of the XS200 is kept in the XS202, with a few minor additions. Read the review for details. Thanks, egloskerry!
Note, there is also now an XS202S model (black) available in some places.
