windows kb891711 component has alterd windows system files module name kb891711.exe mmtask.tsk
but if you can boot into safemode, see if that KB item is listed in Add-Remove Programs and can be uninstalled. More details from you and what you need would be helpful.

I am having this same problem. My system monitor showed a spike in cpu power usage, up to 100%...I checked Dr. watson and it gave me the same message as the other person, involving KB891711.exe and mmtask.tsk, I checked the Add/remove programs, KB891711 is a windows ME update. So I went ahead and deleted it, not sure what the update did, but things appear to be running better.
as explained here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;891711
And you should reinstall it from Windows Update.
