Practical efficient hdd only music player?

Im looking for an mp3 player that is good at playing music and that is all. I dont need picture or video features. I would like to find the best mp3 player that is simple and efficient at playing music. Good battery life would also be great. I dont really need any other features than it being practicle and efficient. Any recommendations?
maybe the creative zen sleek?

How much storage do you need?
Is price the major consideration?
Using any pay download services, or plan to in the future?
Harddrive or flash model?
What audio file types do you want to be able to play?
Personally I like my Iaudio G3, and it seems to fit the requirements you gave: long battery life, simple and efficient. You didn't give much info though.

by hoob - 1/16/06 4:32 PM In reply to: Practical efficient hdd only music player? by adriano0228Look on eBay or some online stores..they may still carry the Rio Carbons or the Karma. Amazon carries them, I believe. How much space do you want, anyway? The Karma is 20 gigs, and the Carbon is 5 and 6.
But yea, the Karma plays a whole grip of audio formats..ogg, FLAC, supports gapless playback...it's the tops, audio-wise, I think. And yea, it's just a really really top notch player. And yea, if you're going for audio and whatnot, the Karma is definitely a wise choice.
