My daughter ''needs'' to add an ultracompact to her growing collection of cameras so she can have a camera with her at all times. (I thought that's what the cell phone was for and I'm going to steal her FZ5 when she's not looking.)
Anyway...
Lookng at the Canon SD400-SD450 now (Is the 2.5 LCD worth $50 more?) SD550?
What do you folks like in a good all around untracompact. Indoor-outdoor-sturdy-good battery life-sharp images.
Thanks!
Now tell the truth, you have to do this so you can get your hands on that Panasonic FZ5!
Here is a ultracompact you should take a look at"
Fujifilm F10
Here is a review:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilmf10zoom/
The review states that it has a very good battery life. Plus it has ISO settings all the way to 1600, which means it will work better than other cameras when taking photos in low light.
It can find it for just under $300 (newegg.com).
