Recording audio from computer onto CDs
by rlgardner - 12/31/05 10:08 AMI got the program Replay Radio which records audio off of the Internet and creates an MP3 on my computer. Playing the MP3 works beautifully.
Problem: The MP3 is not portable. Replay Radio doesn't transfer the audio to a CD-R and I can't use another program to transfer it to a CD-R as the audio doesn't work when it gets there. I normally use Click'n'Burn 2.0 to transfer my hard drive content onto CD-Rs.
I have a reasonably up-to-date system, Windows XP, Dell Dimension 4550 with a 2.4GHz chip and 512 MB RAM.

I installed the CDBurnerXP program and it appears to be able to move MP3's to CD-R's just fine, but what about turning a streaming audio file into an MP3? Does that even require secial software in the first place? I'm trying to get programs from the talkradio Air America onto CDs. Air America doesn't play on any local radio stations and I wish to listen to it away from my computer.
More free software.

Look up AUDACITY which you can then record said stream to MP3 (or other) then off to the CD with CDBURNERXP.
