Any thoughts on which to buy............my brother loves his C-770 and I was going to get one until I read about the SP-500. I really don't need a 6 megapixel camera but if it's a better camera the additional $60 +- would be worth it. I like the AA batteries that the SP-500 operates on vs the rechargeable type. I also like the 10 power zoom of both cameras.
It appears that there is not a great deal of difference, except for the extra megapixels, size of the LCD and the type of batteries.
I have not seen any reviews of the SP-500 yet.
Here is a comparison:

I was looking for an SLR-like camera for the cheap. To my conclusion I found that C-770 would suit me. But last second before ordering found out that SP-500 is also available. Although it lacks an official review on CNET, it has a lot of personal reviews here on CNET and on Amazon. When compared, I like SP-500 better because it has AA batteries more Mega Pixels and overall a little bit better than C-770. I bought it on Amazon for $330 and I am awaiting a delivery. The bottom line, its the cheapest in this price range with huge potential for great quality photos - atleast thats what everyone is saying. Thanks.
