Philips HTS3410D DVD Home Theater System on a Sony 23" LCD

I recently purchased a Philips HTS3410D DVD Home Theater System. I wanted to hook up the DVD player to my 23" Sony Premiere Pro monitor. It has HD15 and DVI-D inputs. I bought an HD15 to component video cable. I am getting a picture but it's all green.

Before you ask, yes, I have checked the component cables and they are in their correct places.

Any ideas?

I disconnected the VGA from the monitor and it looks as if one of the pins is missing from the VGA connector. Could this be the problem?
