how come noone's talking about the new Sony NWA1000 hardrive series that just came out? How good is it? Does anyone know anything about it here on cnet, besides what sony says on their website? (Besides that is doesn't have a colour screen: AAARRRGGGHH!!)
So far looks pretty good:
20hrs playback
beautiful design (u have to see it!)
very portable
OELD display
good sound quality
Typical Sony harddrive stuff, but how would this compare to the iPod nano (4GB).
Any comments is SUPERBLY acknowledged,

ditto on the no-colour display. haven't seen sony some out with one yet. don't no why. They make pretty decent quality players, but i STILL haven't seen tham come out with a harddrive that has a colour screen/can view photos.
It very much takes away, esp. if it wants to compete now. But besides that, it's a beautiful. device; but i wouldn't take it because of the colour prob.
I love the way it looks. Just a great design. It would be nice if it where available in the US. Seems to be a very cool player, but I won't truly know till i get my hands on one. I'm very curious about the software that is to come with it. Where's the color screen Sony?
I can't see it competing against any of the major players. It's not even comparable to the nano because it's a hard drive player, no screen, thicker, wider maybe it had a chance against the mini. But it's competition now would be the creative micro photo. The micro has 2 gb more and a color screen for a cheaper price.
If it had come out against the iPod mini it would have been a great competition. Sony's a little late with this one.
I've seen it at Best Buy up here in Canada but I don't like how the screen is designed.
I cant see why anybody would even think about getting a Sony product after the root-kit fiasco. I'll never buy another sony product again. (and I USED to like them)
