New model in Canon Powershot G series

I'm not sure what they can do to the G6 to upgrade it.
Adding more megapixels will also add more noise.
Adding more noise would be undesirable.

I was hoping they would speed it up. My biggest gripe with most digital cameras is how slow they from the point I click the shutter until when the photo is actually taken.
I am having a hard time convincing my wife to move up to the Rebel XT and this seemed like the best alternative.

The G6 is a choice camera.
Bright f2.0 lens.
The photo quality is as good as it gets with a digital camera.
Since Canon has been upgrading the performance of other cameras, that would be a good improvement for any future G camera.
Put that on the wish list.
