I have a DI-524 with the latest firmware 3.20 that I have been experiencing frequent resets/disconnects on both wireless and wired computers. I have tried to locate the issue but have not been successful. So I am asking this forum to see if anyone has experienced the same thing and if they have it resolved.
The router used to be close to a monitor and thought that the monitor may be intefering with it's operation so I moced it farther away (5 feet). This has not helped. I could move it further but that may not be the issue since both wired and wireless are getting affected.
Thanks in advance.
If any of the adapters is faulty that could interfere with the whole setup. I would first try different Cat5e cables. Disconnect an adapter and use the rest for a while and see if the problem recurs. Do same with all. Might find it that way. Next would be to try different router. ?? Are all adapters same manufacturer? If not, take mis-match to router out and see.

Last evening, I dusted off the old Linksys 802.11b router and replaced the DI-524. The plan is to use that for a few days and see if I ever get disconnected. If not, then it may be the DI-524.
If that's the case, what can I do? I dont remember how long the warranty is. I think I've had it for about 4-6 months now.
Can't do anything without a sales receipt or some other proof of purchase (like the barcode from box). If you registered it that might help. If you remember where you purchased it, the retailer might give you a copy of the invoice. Other than that, put your hand(s) in your pocket(s) and bring out the $$$.

I have been testing with a Linksys wireless router and so far, I had it misbehave only once. I will run it for a few more days to see whether it remains stable.
It can't be stable without stable power. Did you put it on an uninterruptable supply?
Mine works, but there will always be some unit that needs replacing out there.
Hello,
I had a friend with the same problem recently and I swapped the router for a Netgear wgt624 and it worked without a hitch. In the router logs the router thought it was under a SynFlood attack. Are you running Azureus? My friend was, and she was also running MIRC. I have the router hooked up here at my place to diagnose it and it seems to be functioning fine, but I do not use Azureus.
