Quick Set-up for indoor flash

by hkushins - 12/5/05 1:58 PM

I'm looking or a 5+ pix camera in $300 range that has a short "lag" time when taking indoor pictures with flash. Want to take action shoots that aren't fuzzy as I find with present digital (Coolplex4500)

Indoor Flash

Yes, the Nikon 4500 had a long lag time (over a second).

Here is one to check on:

Canon A610
It sells for just under $300.
Has a lag time of 0.2 second

The time between successive flash shots is:
2.0 seconds if not using red-eye.
2.7 seconds if using red-eye.

Exact flash recharge time is dependent upon how far you are from the subject and how fresh the battery is.

Here is a review of the Canon A620, which is exactly the same as the A610. The A620 is 7 megapixels and costs $50 to $100 more:

Go for Fujufilm 5200. I bought it a month ago. It's fast and takes amasing photos in low light conditions. You can also find specs online and judge for yourself.
