HI
Can anyone tell me which is the best antivirus tool for PC
Ahmed
This is an opinion question and if you search the forum, you will find a few hundred threads for the same question with just as many opinions. Norton, AVG, McAfee, Avast, NOD32, Panda, TrendMicro, AntiVir, just to name a few are all good.
I still think that no-matter how good Norton AV is, halving the speed of your PC is too big a price to pay for using it
i just installed norton 2005....and i agree....has not slowed me down watsoever????......im also runnin ewido..which i was told slowed things up.....haven't noticed any difference......VIPER
I had norton and it really did slow my pc down I use AVG now much better Skycatcher is correct. If I was paying try Trend Micro or NOD32.
Good Luck
Steve.
In all head-to-head comparisons, Kaspersky comes out at the very top. It's hit on system resources is minimal and the antivirus database is updated hourly. The guys at Kaspersky are on the ball and write great software.
From TechPro...
Kaspersky AntiVirus meets all the requirements for a best-of-breed anti-virus product. It has one of the highest detection rates in the industry, consistently winning Virus Bulletin's VB100% award for 100% detection of viruses found in the wild, with no false alarms. It has a valuable extended databases option that enables the product to detect trojans, dialers, keyloggers and other non-virus malware, something no other anti-virus product can boast. The product can update hourly, and updates are delivered quickly, reducing the chances of infection by a new virus.

Anyone know about renewal procedure and cost??
Glenn
I don't know who is the cheapest vendor for KAV but
http://www.ice-kav.com/
provides a decent discount. The site also has explanations to just about any aspect of KAV that you would want to know.
Answered question except I never was able to determine the renewal cost after the first year... surely there is a reduced price for renewal as opposed to purchasing the product again.?:|
Thanks!
Glenn
I purchased a 2 year license over a year ago and don't remember the speciics. However, there is a forum at the Web site I offered where you could pose the renewal question. There's also an e-mail contact address.
If you go the KAV route, I think you'll be pleased. By the way, you can test drive KAV for 30 days to see how it handles.
going price offered by many other vendors. I'm going to try Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 for the 30 day trial period before deciding whether to purchase or not.
