I just bought my Sony yesterday and thus far the experience of downloading my music from windows media player to the MP3 has been horrid. 95% of my music is stored in WMA format. When I import my music from the windows media player to sonic stage it wants to convert everything to ATRAC3 format in order to download to the MP3. This is very slooooow. I thought the Sony NWHD5 was compatible with WMA format. What gives here? Why does sonic convert everything to ATRAC3? Is there a better way? My experience has been so bad that I am about ready to return the player. Any help would be appreciated.
I personally would return it if I was in your situation. You should have researched before buying it. Yes, it is a great player but I know of the top of my head that it only plays 3 formats (MP3, ATRAC3, and ATRAC3PLUS).
