I have one 20GB filled with nothing but music adn my other 20GB has about 2GB's of music on it. I would have to blame my cd collection and my napster subscription for that. I think i should get 2 50GB's before i run out of room!
I have close to 16 Gb of music. 16 002 205 628 bytes to be precise.
Mine are games and multimedia games being #1
I have a dual-boot system with W2K Pro on both drives. Can't afford any down time, have 20Gb of scanned and digi photos, 50 Gb of music from my CD collection, and from 20 to 200 Gb of video, depending on the project thats being worked on at the time. Source files are duplicated on the 2nd drive as my backup.
I love the program TreeSize (download.com) and use it all the time to see a graphical representation of what's taking up space on my harddrive. You run the program on whatever drive you select and within a matter of minutes, you are looking at a pie chart that shows the percentage of space that each folder takes on your drive. You can then select each section of the pie to go into subfolders and see the breakout of each subfolder, too. Its hot. I was surprised to find out that my Windows internal folder was taking up SO much space. Also, all my hard work in deleting/archving all of my pictures was for naught because my movies are the real hog. TreeSize showed that to me.
Takes up the most space.
