I would recommend zen micro just because it has anout 5 gb unlike the max 1 gb offered by the neeon

neeon has more features

The Neeon does have a 5 & 6GB model. I think you mistook the Nano/ Nano Plus w/ the 1GB limit.

The Neeon has a line in jack, which allows you to hook up a cassette player, record player or CD player for direct encosing into MP3 format. That is the killer feature for me. Don't care about color screens or color shells/ chassis. Didn't anyone ever tell you never to judge a book by its cover? ;)

The Voice recorder on the Neeon is a plus, but not a must-have. FM radio is available for both.

Aside from what I just mentioned, the track wheel (Neeon) works better for me than the touch strip (Micro). The Neeon is also a tiny bit more portable - IMHO. Other than that, they're pretty much the same.

I probably did confuse them, I think I'm gonna go check out the Neeon because it sounds pretty good by what you say. :)

Hm... well it depends.

No the Zen neeon's screen is backlit, but you can change it to one of 7 colors... the zen neeon is a better value for you money as well, because it is only $199.99 for 6GB, while you would only get 2GB from the Nano at the same price.

They both look stylish to me, but the Nano is smaller.

Anyway, I hope you find the best player for you.

Does the NEEON record in WAV format

by scroat - 11/22/05 5:48 PM In reply to: Creative NEEON mp3 player by pd_paul

I see that the unit has a line in (which is great) and also supports wav format, but is wav format supported in record mode or just playback mode?
Thanks!

AC Adapter?

by dannylam4 - 11/23/05 11:50 AM In reply to: Creative NEEON mp3 player by pd_paul

I was looking into this special myself. They have an online sale at WalMart's website, but while researching the Zen Neeon more, I noticed that MonsterNet.Org says it does not come with an AC adapter! So... how does it recharge then?

no ac adapter

by andreajoy - 11/23/05 8:05 PM In reply to: AC Adapter? by dannylam4

if you go to the walmart website they tell you what is included and the charger isnt there. you might be able to charge the neeon through the USB port but its probably mandatory to eventually get a charger. they run for about 15 to 30 bucks

USB charging

by bog_god - 11/25/05 10:54 AM In reply to: no ac adapter by andreajoy

Yeah the Neeon does charge through the USB port, so its not much trouble if you spend a decent amount of time on the computer. I want to get one, but its not available in Europe (and therefore lil ol' england). I cna only order it from Singapore and no doubt pay a bomb in import taxes :(
