Or a new 29" TV Flat Screen because I don't have much money. But, i really will buy a new Power Supply, a CPU cooler, a Keyboard/Mouse Wireless combo (Model 3100) from Logitech, a battery charger and if will there are any chance a Palm Z22, or neither of all!

A new 5G Ipod !

by tjt620 - 11/10/05 7:15 AM In reply to: What tech item do you want most for the holidays? by Marc Bennett Moderator

I still listen to my 1 Gen Ipod and have been saying as long as it still played I wouldn't upgrade but the Ipod with Video would be a must have. Most likely It'll be a while before I get one. Maybe It'll be a birthday present to myself since I plan on buying the kid's Christmas list.

A well-matched system BUT,

by am124sea - 11/10/05 7:34 AM In reply to: What tech item do you want most for the holidays? by Marc Bennett Moderator

When comparing components for a well-matched system of 27" TV, VHS VCR, DVD, Tivo, and a stereo receiver? you can't.

Advertisers, Consumer Reports, store ads, ratings in zines, on Cnet, and computer searchs.

You can't compare apples to apples. Why can't there be a place where ratings are made of matched components that all you need is ONE remote? Or how they work in diferent sized rooms. Like, you don't need a set of 36" speakers in a small one bdrm. apt unless you don't mind the whole neighborhood pounding on your door. Not every one lives in a 5,000 sq.ft. house on 20 acres.

If your living room is 20x20', having a 45" plasma means you have to sit in the next room to enjoy the whole screen.

Tired of three remotes
Anthony

by gemcquaid - 11/10/05 1:04 PM In reply to: What tech item do you want most for the holidays? by Marc Bennett Moderator

Why do TV's have to be so expensive?? A small screen
TV(14") cost's $250?? At least the Toshiba MW14F51 Combo that I want does?? This model is the only 3 way
TV.DVD/VCR small screen unit that I have been able to find on the market, Anyone know of another small screen unit with the 3 operations??

I picked other becuase I do not know how to classify the RIM Blackberry 7250. I have wanted a Blackberry for a while, but US Cellular doesn't have any good ones to choose from yet, and the only other provider in my area is Alltel, who as far as I know, does not have any Blackberry units.

All I want for Xmas is a State-of-the-Art Dell Gaming Rig

by courtney415 - 11/11/05 10:58 PM In reply to: What tech item do you want most for the holidays? by Marc Bennett Moderator

Just saw today Dell profits are below what they'd anticipated and we should look to some aggressive pricing. That was MY Xmas present!

I just hope some of that aggressive pricing is on higher-end 9000 series gaming rigs..........

And WHAT are they thinking with that hideous WHITE & silver box for the 9000 series? Oh yeah I want to spend 2K on an UGlLY-AZZ box. It will look like it's ready for the dump about 3 days if I buy it. It's been around for a while........ Dell, buy yourself a clue and PLEASE out the Dimesion 9K back in a decent bos. Could their lates POS bo have anything to due with lack of interest.

What IDIOT thought white is a good idea for a computer box? Give me BACK my Black and Silver, I don't want to blow an extra $500+ just to get a decent-looking XPS box. I may be blonde but even I'm not THAT stupid.

What tech item do you want most for the holidays?

by melfcsi - 11/13/05 1:53 PM In reply to: What tech item do you want most for the holidays? by Marc Bennett Moderator

I want a 19" or 20" LCD flat panel monitor, to free up some space on my desk top. I promise I've been a good boy all year.
