My WiFi Access situation

by TPSradio - 10/28/05 8:06 AM

I use my laptop with WifI access card from my "pod", which is zoned as commercial.

I cannot afford to hook up a landline ($271 to connect) plus the montly telephone service charge (and 25cent LOCAL call charge!) so I am accessing wiFi from someone across the parking lot who has it in their condo.

About two weeks ago I wrote a note and left it on their door asking if they would like to support local music and art and community radio by granting me permission to use the wifi. I left them the phone number (a hotline I pay under $100/yr for) to leave a message. I have not heard back...

My cohost noticed a family in the window which we presume to be of a different ehtnic background. Thinking English is their second language, I just asked my coworker to translate my inquiry.

I offer to pay $20 CASH to have "permitted access" contingent upon them moving the unit to their back window (my access is inconsistent, for instance I am right outside the (office) door typing this!

My homepage also offers that I am looking for sponsors. If you delve into ThePrimeSpot.com, you will learn "It's not a business, it's a Pleasure!"
