I get asked this all too often and basically its not my thing. I have older clients and friends that want to save to disc thier older music collection and/or special tracks. Like I said, it really not that much into it. Can someone explain what products, devices, s/w, and expected pitfalls in order to pass this info on. Just what is needed besides a decent PC and what else. Also, understand the LPs involved have gotten old and/or used alot, bit if the devices/products help in that regard are some better than others, etc.. Thanks and the reply will be saved and passed on. adios -----Willy
You will find that Roxio or Nero will help do the job. It is possible to take out hiss and plops with these programs. You will need to connect up to the line in,sockets. You should get a preamp to direct sound into your PC.
Good Luck.
