Wine fridges are cool (pun intended) - they've got a giant double-glazed glass door, air-tight seals, and move heat from inside to outside.
My home server is not cool - it's ultra noisy, and is accumulating dust and grime so badly that I'm frightened to touch it anymore, in case blobs of sticky dust get into places that might kill it.
So my question is - how much heat can a wine fridge get rid of? I guesstimate that my PC is sucking in around 350watts, all of which ultimately gets converted into heat. Can a decent fridge get rid of that much heat fast enough (such that the internal fridge temp remains less than PC-overheating-level - I don't need it to actually be cool inside; just not too hot ![]()
Note that I intend never to open the door, so moisture shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks if anyone can help!!
