In Windows XP, when I open a large number of windows the task bar automatically scrolls. I hate that, is there anyway to disable the scrolling feature?
You are not explaining the problem well enough. What kind of windows are you talking about. When you say "many" how many is that. Be specific as possible. You say "task bar". Are you sure you're not talking about the system tray? What version of XP? Answer these questions and we can be of better service to you. Thanks for understanding.

I'll clarify. If I'm web surfing with internet explorer, I tend to be looking up several things at once, so I open a lot of windows. These windows appear on the bottom bar of the screen between the start button, and the quick launch icons. I can open 10 windows. When I open the 11th window, the diplayed windows scroll, and I loose track of what windows correspond to what pages. This feature is what I'd like to disable.
