I am running an Intel P-4 3.20.
Quite an improvement over my old P-4 at 1.8.
No problems so far.

amd from the git-go

I have 7 computers in my home. All but one are AMD home built clone machines. The other is a Dell 1200 mhz with an intel processor.

Two are AMD 2200 machines and 4 AMD clones are all less than 500 mhz. They have small hard disk and are running special stuff such as Oracle, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Linspire.

AMD has always given slightly more bang for the buck and has worked well for me.

My next machine will be an AMD X64 machine running the new Windows release with SATA drives, one of whick is a 10000 rpm 'fast' drive.

Intel

I have an intel P4 3.2Ghz in a Dell.
My wife has an AMD 800Mhz that has sucked wind ever since we got it -- of course, it could be something other than the processor; it is an old Gateway about 5 years old and has more problems than my grandfather.

P4 3.2GHz! I envy you Bobbo!
My celeron is a little slowly for me. But it is hard to get P4 with Northwood core :(

My computer has an Athlon 2400+, my wife's has an Athlon 2000+ and my oldest daughter's is an AMD K62 450Mhz... I have another m'board to upgrade my daughter's computer but no processor yet. Anyone have a spare AMD processor to donate to the cause? LOL
Also I've built about 15 or so systems for friends and always use AMD.
