Other - Hire virus creators

by yhaolin - 9/14/05 12:50 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

My suggestion is to hire them to use their knowledge/skill in looking for software weaknesses and come up with software patche/fix/repair and also create new virus to test the system again.

Public Hanging Is The Best Solution

by Van - 9/14/05 12:54 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

I think we have been too easy on these criminals. We should have public hangings! That will send a strong message out to others who may have gotten the idea that this is fun or cute.

What I am talking about is for generators of viruses that do serious damage to many peoples' pcs.

Prison plus

by Klahansua - 9/14/05 1:10 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

A minimum of 30 years, removal of any property of theirs to the value of estimated damage caused, no access to a pc while in prison, and if they show no sign of remorse, how about a labotomy to give them a brain to match their mentality:-)

Fine them in relation to the damage they have done

by jelars - 9/14/05 1:53 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

In other words, if the Virus is more a nusiance than hit them with a minimum fine that will tax their budget, BUT if the virus has destroyed data the actor must pay through the nose AND not be permitted to have access to computers in the future.

Punisment for virus creators

by nitrodaddy - 9/14/05 2:15 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

The punisment for the worms who created the worms should be: Fine-$100,000-200,000. Prison Time:5-10 without any possibilty of parole. They should also be made to work with the authorities, reveal how they created their viruses and how to dismantle them once they're identfied. The should then be commanded to make a super virus and tap into terrorist computers rending them usless.

Ingredients for Proper Punishment

by tjc4318 - 9/15/05 7:26 PM In reply to: Punisment for virus creators by nitrodaddy

44 sheets of 80 grit sandpaper
3 quarts hot sauce
12 rusty nails
4" wide rusty cheese grater
1 chalk board
10 fingernails
2 gal rubbing alcohol
1 spiny cactus
1 tube anal lube

Directions:

Strip defendant naked. Apply sandpaper to defendant's skin firmly in a back & forth motion for no less than 27 minutes. Apply liberal amounts of hot sauce to loosened skin.
Take rusty nails & insert firmly into orifices until such time as they rub against another rusty nail. NOTE: DO NOT attach said rusty nails to an electric source as electric costs money & the defendant is really not worth that kind of investment.
Any areas of the defendant's body that do not respond to the above treatments may now be attended to with the cheese grater.
Placing the chalkboard behind the defendant, apply liberal amounts of fingernails to it for an extended period of time or until its time for your lunch.
Take tube of anal lube & squirt a large amount to your right hand. The numbing affect will assist you as you pick up the cactus. With the cactus firmly in your hand, cram it..............

I have something in mind, but it's too explicit to say.

by jermsman18 - 9/15/05 10:37 AM In reply to: I have something in mind, but it's too explicit to say. by billelm

we should just all line up. anyone affected by the virus should get a chance to punch the dude and what not. Then we give him a real virus and see how he likes it. Then we leave in prison to rot a while. Then we tell him he is free to go. and as he walks away start to slowly chase him with a car. as he runs go faster and do this for a while. finally, run the ******* over. then back up and run him over again.
i hate them dudes

response to week;y poll

I believe that the penalty for these crimes against common computer users shpould be severe. Removal of the hands one at a time for second and third offense is not out of line. 1st offense should be jail time up to five years depending on severity of crime. With out use of computer while incarcerated.

Prison sentence

by toxic - 9/14/05 2:50 AM In reply to: What punishment should be handed down to virus creators? by Marc Bennett Moderator

Virus writers, hackers, etc should all be given prison sentences and fines as far as I'm concerned, these low life scum bags should be banned from ever accessing another computer ANYWHERE. The trouble with cybercrime these days is the police are too busy with kiddy porn etc that they don't have the resources and time available to follow up on hackers and virus writers. I found this out personally after having one of my acct's hacked, notifying Fed Police and forwarding IP adresses and log files only to be told nothing would be done to catch the offenders as they had a backlog of kiddy porn to deal with. Maybe we should amputate their hands so they can't use a keyboard! Hey now that would work and the tax payers wouldn't have to pay for them to live in prison.
