Cowon iaudio M3 and creative zent Touch..dey're all good here wut i pod lack...recorder and Fm tuner/recorder...built in...Cowon...no display on main screen and it doesnt have wake up to music also it has no text reader and organizer...creative lack text reader im not user about the recorder and Fm stuff...Well enuf waut i thinkk...is time for YOU! tell us wut u think of the 3

Get a cheap Chinese knock-off
Get some other brand that isn't as easily compatible w/my 10+ gb of music (iTunes)
Or, if I MUST get an Apple product (?!?) get a Ipod Mini.
My responses are as follows:
1. I would never buy cheap disposable off-brand stuff, if only to save a couple bucks. Where would I take it if it quit working? I know of at least 6 retailers within 30 mins of me, that would help me out if an Ipod died on me.
2.AAC format is for Apple, iTunes and Ipods. I work in a CD store- I have access to literally TERRAbytes of music. Other brands' players allow for ease of use if 'buying' different formats of music. I don't buy my music, generally. I borrow it for "work-related research". I'll never be able to fit my entire collection onto one player, so why try?
3. Apple rocks. Nearly all music produced today has an Apple technology involved. Every professional musician I have ever spoken to, SWEARS by Apple. Video producing, as well.
People like to rag on whatever's popular, I think.
P.S: Anybody think about international compatibility? (Power wise) An Ipod shuffle needs a USB2 port to charge. No 240v/110v switcharoo to worry about.

I looked and I looked, in this thread, but I couldn't find any mention of 10GB of music sorted in iTunes or of anyone saying they had purchased 10GB of music from the iTunes store.

The LuxPro Super Tangent is identical to the I-Pod Shuffle but with a screen and WMA support.

I prefer Creative Labs products myself, I've had 2 Muvo's and now have a Zen.
