I am running Win XP Home on Dell 4550. A couple of weeks ago I went to search for a file in Win Explorer and I only get a box with a dog waging its tail. Nothing I do in View, etc will bring back my search. I have also tried Ctrl-F and it still brings up the dog.
The actual Search option is on the menus but it always brings up the dog and no box to type in the file/folder name, etc.
I have run AVG, Avast, AntiVir, Adaware, SpyBot S&D and RegScrubXP, all with the latest updates. Nothing has changed anything.
Can anyone tell me how to get my files and folder search back?
Using System Restore to return to a restore piont prior to when the problem first occured?
