New virus signature files for F-Prot Antivirus have been
released. These files are dated 18 July 2005 and contain
detection for new threats.
To update the virus signature files please follow the
instructions below.
Windows users:
Connect to the Internet as you normally do and then open
F-Prot Antivirus. Click the 'Updater' button on the Info
menu, select 'Internet' in the menu that follows and click
'Update'. F-Prot Antivirus will then update the virus
signature files directly via the Internet.
UNIX users:
Use the check-updates.pl script (e.g. as a cron job) to
update the virus signature files via the Internet.

Proof?
1. Resource hog
2. Easily crashed
3. Not processing rules properly
4. Blocking traffic even to/from Trusted networks
5. DNS Caching plugin distributed with the package corrupts DNS records and stores wrong entries.
6. Can easily be bypassed
7. Completely made up attack types and fictional attack logs(attack details never logged!!!)
Install it, configure it, realise that list above was correct, remove it, never ever touch it again...
