Wirefly should be sued - $250.00 rebate

by Gudachari - 7/20/05 7:11 PM

This July 4th, unfortunately I ordered a Motorola Razr from Wirefly.com, assuming that I will get my $250.00 that I spent as rebate.

This is was the deal: Free Motorola Razr (after $250.00 mail in rebate) and a free blue tooth headset ($79.00 value).

After couple of weeks I got the phone (which looks like a refurbished phone), but no blue tooth headset. There were some rebate forms and a document to claim the Bluetooth headset.

This is how it goes:
I can claim my 250.00 dollars by filling in two rebate forms (125.00 each) with a list of documents. The one I found very unreasonable is a BILL/INVOICE WHICH MUST BE DATED BETWEEN 150-210 DAYS AFTER ACTIVATION.

Can you believe it? I could not.

BTW : for the Bluetooth headset, I am supposed to wait for 45 days to receive an email from promotions@mpellinc.com for instructions on how to claim it!

There is only one contact number provided in among a whole bunch of documents 866 232-6925 and this looks like it’s a fax number.

How many people do you think will have the forms/documents for 150 days and how can someone track the rebates for that long. Even if they did, for people like me, who keep moving on different consulting jobs from place to place its impossible to track/get the check back.

The sole purpose of this is to let people like me know that this is just a scam. DO NOT buy from Wirefly or any other similar portal which seems to be offering.

If I had time/money I would take legal action against these guys.

I didn't get my Headset from inphonic/wirefly/buy.com either

by Wo1verine7 - 7/20/05 11:38 PM In reply to: Wirefly should be sued - $250.00 rebate by Gudachari

I got my razr from buy.com (which is sneakily working with Inphonic/wirefly.com) , it was brand new...however, I never got my rebate and teh buy.com website where I bought it claims it would be in the box already...also, I tried to call the inphonic office that has indian people, no offense I respect all people or all nations, but they all are named Adam or Christine, all my indian friends laughed cause no one in with an indian accent is really named that...do those companies think american are ignorant or something? I keep calling, then they said that they'd mail it by USPS, that means it'll probably be lost in the mail and they won't send me one cause they are cheaters...they should be exposed on TV?

will anyone sue wirefly.com???

by HateWirefly0000 - 7/29/05 5:23 PM In reply to: Wirefly should be sued - $250.00 rebate by Gudachari

if you do sue them, please let me know... cause I need help to...
This is a one of the top 1 liar company I have ever seen in my life.

here is my story:
www.wirefly.com or iphonic company, i think, is a scam. Their customers sevicer tell you to do this, and that.... but at the end they are liars. I have never seen any company have customer servicer lies to their customers like wirefly or iphonic.
This is how they are cheating me.
I bought a 2 phone one of them wasn't working well at first, so still in the last few days (like 5 days) of 30 return period, I called the customer servicer and let she know that the phone wasn't working well. Then she told me that there is 2 options: 1. I send in the phone first then they will send me another phone after they received my old phone. 2. They will send me a new phone and I have to send back the old phone in 7 days after I received the new phone, but they made me deposited $99. And she promised that after they received my old phone they will release my deposited to me.
SO I chose the second option. Then 6 day later the new phone arrived to me. Then I see the note said "must return your old phone 7 after the new phone arrived in order to get back your deposited". Then 3 day later I brought the phone to the post-office and sent it back. But waiting....... and waiting......but nothing has send back to me or hear anything about my deposite money, until I called them and asked where is my refund deposited money. They told me that the old phone was sent in late and over 30 day return period. Therefore I can't not get my money back. What is the whole point in here?... Their customer servicer told me doing this. I did EXACTLY what she told me so, then now I can't get my money back.... What do you this this company is, and the whole department of customer service is? ALL is a big family liar...They liar for everything from small to big.
MY SUGGESTION IS THAT, PLEASE DON'T BUY OR DO ANY BUSSINESS WITH THIS WWW.WIREFLY.COM, Because at the end you will end up like me, and like my friends.
One more liar came from www.wirefly.com the rebate.
I have a 2 of $100 rebates. When I bought 2 phones Samsung E715. They promised me I will get the money back like $200 on rebates. Saying on the rebate list that I have to send the rebates in between 150-210 days after activation my service. I counted day one by one. and noted that I won't be able to send them the T-mobile bill in that period. Then I send all require in with one T-mobile bill before 150 days period in. Wait... then call them. The customer servicer, he, told me that can't not be right. What he told me that I have to send the new T-mobile bill of period between 150-210 days. Then he will process my rebates. I did send in 2 but not 1 T-mobile bills after the period of 150 days. Wait again... now I check back with them... They told me that the GUY, customer servicer, WHO TOLD ME TO RESEND THE T-mobile bill WAS WRONG. Therefore, I can't get my rebates back.
Do you see what they do. They told me to do so, and I dit EXACTLY what they told me but at the end. I still can't get my money back. Isn't that this customer guys lie to me? So all of their customer servicers are liars and they are all one big family liars.
Right now I'm trying to looking for a free-lawer that can help me to bring this liar company, www.wirefly.com, to the Court to get what belong to me, if could I will be the one who stand up for any victims that have the same situation that the www.wirefly.com lies or has been lied to. If any one who know anyone can help me with this problem, please let me know that www.thuany82@yahoo.com. Thank you!
And remember this: Never, ever,ever,ever.. buy anything from www.wirefly.com if you don't want to feel sad and anger after they find any ways they cold to cheat you.

I think I'm in the beginning of a wirefly scam

by jleom7 - 8/18/05 3:27 PM In reply to: will anyone sue wirefly.com??? by HateWirefly0000

I responded to a group plan offer from wirefly for two free razr v3 phones after a "loyalty" rebate.

Wirefly took my order over the phone and when I received the razrs there were no rebate forms. When I contacted wirefly, they said I'm not eligible for a rebate. They asked me to fax written evidence that I should get a rebate. This was over the phone and the web offer has since changed. I didn't print the web site at the time.

So I'm thinking that this is a set up. They didn't record the order as being eligible for a rebate and now I don't have anything in writing.

I too was bounced around an India call center.

What recourse do I have? Is there any service that caches web sites?

by maymay331 - 4/24/09 8:12 AM In reply to: will anyone sue wirefly.com??? by HateWirefly0000

I wish the shut down that company. Same thing happen to me with the rebate too. I did mail it out within the period but they told me I didn't. I was so upset.
People out there, please don't get fool but Wirefly. When you place an order with them, they sounded so nice and good but once you have problem or questions, good luck.
If someone out there trying to sue them, please let me know. I want to part of it too.
