ATRAC (PLUS)

i have mostly 192 kbs mp3 files but i want to use atrac as i will beable to fit more onto my player, what bit-rate do you reccomend as the "best overall" ?

i want good sound and volume but do not want the file to be too large

105kbps or 132kbps. Anything less will sound pretty lousy. And anything higher than 192kbps would sound at best the same as the original MP3, but take up more space.

Atrac3(Plus)

I have the Sony NW-E107 flash based player and I converted my 128kbs .wma's to Atrac3(Plus) at 64kbs and the sound is awesome!I even converted some Lord of the Rings soundtrack music down to 48kbs and the sound is very good at that level. Hope this helped.

ok thanks guys for you input, im going to use 105kbs atrac for mp3s that have 192kbs and 64kbs atracplus for mp3s that are 128kbs. thanks again
