Question on large files( XPHE SP 2)

by auggief - 7/12/05 3:49 AM

In C:\Windows, I found two large files, both 14,766 KB.
LPT$VPN.677 & VPTNFILE.677
Can anyone identify these for me? Thanks.

#I'm guessing you are running PC-Cillin Antivirus as this is the naming convention it uses#

2 other people also mention anti-virus scan logs....

Jonah, I use Norton but have, on occasion run Housecall which I believe is from PC-Cillin.
Do you think it would be OK to delete these two large files?

Trend-Micro Housecall

These two files are both for HouseCall. They are the virus update and config files for the program. They are safe to remove, and if you ever run HouseCall again, the new files will be downloaded.
