The 3 or 4 days, my computer at random times "shuts down" and I get the blue screen. I had it happen 4 times yesterday within 1 1/2 hours. I got so frustrated with it that I turned it off until just a few minutes ago. Within 10 minutes of me turning it on, I got a blue screen again.
I wrote the "technical Information" following each blue screen yesterday. If that's needed by anyone to help me with this, please let me know & I'll send it.
When I get my computer fixed so it will stay on without me fearing the color blue, I have a problem with VERY slow running computer, especially when I'm connected to the internet.
Thanks in advance,
BabyG
What OS are you using?
If Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro, go to the CONTROL PANEL and select administrative tools. From there select event viewer. Once this opens, select SYSTEM from the tree on the left. If you can provice the information being reported there. You will see red Xs for errors.
Also, Windows will do a memory dump. You can view this memory dump with DR Watson. To open this application, go to START and then click RUN. Type in drwatson. Please respond with the error reported by this applicaiton.
One thing to try in the meantime as well, go back to the last system chang you made and remove it. Whether it be software, system update, what have you.
I apologise for not including this info in my original post.
OS: WinXP Pro
CPU: AMD Athelon 1400
28 gb hard drive 16.9 gb used
Does that help?
Thank you,
BabyG
