Hi!
Does anybody know if DVD recorders can record (on DVD-R)/Hard disk) and play(from DVD or Hard disk, depending on what is already used for recording) at the same time?
I do not have a DVD recorder and would like to know if any brand is offering such a feature.
Thanks!
If your machine records to a DVD-RAM disc, you can record a show, and begin watching it with full pause/rewind capabilities within 10-15 seconds. Similar to a TIVO, you can pause "live" TV if you're recording it. As far as watching already recorded material while you're recording something else, I haven't specifically tried that on my Toshiba DV-R3, but maybe now I will. ![]()
I have seen a few DVD recorders that also have a HD in them. They say watch a DVD and record on the HD at the same time, then record from the HD to the DVD. Toshiba and Panasonic make them check their websites. John
Hi All,
I am looking for a DVD recorder that:
a. records HD
b. has commercial skip (hate those adverts!!)
c. Will allow you to record one channel and watch another
and
d. will record on hard disc AND.OR a CD, so I can transfer the CD and play it elsewhere.
I think in the US all the above is done via TIVO, but here in Canada it seems we are light years behind.....
Thanks in advance guys,
Brian
Can you get Dish Network or Direct TV in Canada? John
We can get Direct TV (but I don't want it) and Star/Bell satellite here in Canada.
