I keep track of my passwords, etc. on my Sony Clie (Palm OS), with YAPS 2.5.
At a previous company, I had approximately 15 passwords that I used almost every day. When it got to the point where I was confusing the passwords or usernames, I decided to use password software. The one I picked is Password Corral. It works very well and I only had to remember 1 very secure password.
I keep a small spiral booklet and write my sign-ins and passwords down in here. Of course, each password is written in a code that has to be translated before it is used. Only I know the code and it is in my head.
I use whisper 32 for my passwords, hints and other info,
Anybody think this is vulnerable?
When I set, or change, a password I usually print the screen image and make notes on it as to date, usage, etc.. If that is not possible, I write the info on a sheet of paper. I store these printouts or notes in a file entitled 'Subscriptions' which is in a locked file cabinet. This file does have to be updated often but at least I can track a forgotten password and I have a record and date of the last time the pw was changed.
I use two separate sets of passwords.
For applications that I think are innocuous (CNET, for example) I always use a combination of numbers that are historical to myself personally and that only I know.
For "serious" applications (where either personal of financial information is concerned) I make up different passwords THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH A GIVEN APPLICATION, and I store them in a password-protected encrypted file on my computer. For E-Bay, for example, I do not use EB$$@%#$DAS, or something like that.
I change the "serious" passwords, but not as often as I should, say every day.

I have 5 passowrds and those are the 5 passwords that I use. I know that it's always one of those 5.
I use Citi-softwares Access Manager 2 - it needs a high strength password to access and auto-generates high strength passwords as required - so far no problems - but there again I have fire-walls & AV apps as well.
If I didn't have Handango Vault on my Palm, I think I would be a blithering idiot by now. It's not internet connected (like my PCs) and it's password protected so that I can use one unique password to see all of my others. If you turn off your Palm while it's running, it will come back to the Main Palm Menu (it won't open up in the Vault program).
I keep a spreadsheet with all user names, passwords, URL,s and Company names. I can just click on the URL in the spreadsheet and go there instantly. I keep a short cut icon on my desk top called PW.
Has a section to store URL's username password secret question etc. Then you only need to remember the password to your diary.
I have 3 password
One is very complex , it is used to acces to my bank account and acces to my computer via VNC
Second, is used to access to my ISP mail and others Internet Shop and work computer
Third is used for all others website and forum.
Advantage : Only 3 passwords to remember and different level of password
Sometimes you need to give some passwrd to your coleagues or network administrator, so you give password level 2, you bank acoount and you private things are safe....
RoboForm seems to be very helpful and is compatible with these approach
I write them down, using a variety of different passwords to minimize the possibility of hackers getting complete access to my data
I use Passwords Plus with 128 bit encryption. However, now I'm looking for a password program to load on my Blackberry so I can drop the PDA I have my password program installed on.
