I have a desktop equipped with a WG311v2 wireless card. I installed this card myself, and it has been working fine for several months.
But...all of a sudden, I came home this afternoon to find that my internet was gone. I checked my modem and router, both working - I have internet on both my other computers.
I check the connection on my computer, and it tells me strong signal, excellent connection. Apparently, I'm connected to the router. Just not the internet. I also check my packets - I'm sending but not receiving. I currently have version 1.0.1.7, and upgrading to 2.0.0.7 failed.
I've been working on this for a few hours, please help.
I don't have two wireless cards. The other computer is connected to the router via an ethernet cable.
And I have not an ethernet cable long enough to reach my computer.
I was up and going on the internet for about a month, using wired and wireless ethernet for 2 computers. Then I lost internet connection. My problem was resolved when tech told me I had to use the special phone cord supplied with the ISP's router that plugs into the phone outlet. The one supplied was too short so I had used a longer phone cord.
I'm using Netgear Wireless Router WGR614 connected to my notebook.
I use Ovislink USB adapter for my desktop in my room.
Indicator shows excellent signal, but still cannot get connected to internet.
Help appreciated.
