MS Office AutoCorrect file transfer

by d130n232 - 5/25/05 6:22 AM

I have a lot of shortcuts saved in AutoCorrect and AutoText on a laptop with Office 2003 and WIN2k. I want to locate the data files and move them to a desktop with Office 2000 and WIN2k, overwriting the default files. Does anyone know the file names and path? Will I have any backward compatability problems?

Go into Word and make a few changes to the files you're looking for, by adding a autocorrection item and so on. Then use Windows Explorer to search for files modified today. And voila.

Do this immediately after midnight or first thing in the morning. Then there won't be many files changed today, which rather limits the choice.

It should be somewhere in your My Documents and Settings, I think.

Hope this helps.
