Given the broad range of Microsoft products, it is very difficult to see or measure the rate of improvement in "products" as a whole. However, regardless of loudly stated and often repeated views of critics, Microsoft as a company is quite responsive to market demands and has initiated many security initiatives. Considering that "most" Microsoft products currently in use were released before the huge upswing in market demand for security features, it is difficult to say that the "preponderance" of Microsoft products (in use, released, in development?) are improving in security aspects. However, as Microsoft responds to market demands for security feature and products, their products are almost certain to be at least competitive and likely to be superior in many aspects, as well as in broad acceptance.
