Mouse pad is desktop.
Extra buttons handy for graphics programs to enlarge and reduce quickly or to scroll up/down and left/right.
Cable lead for more accuracy and faster responce.
Use a M/S Wireless Intelmouse Explorer 2.0 and generic pad. Hooked on any mouse with multi buttons. Once used the old two button is gone. Also use ergonomic keyboard. Took time to train my hands to use but once hands got use to it would use nothing else.
I have that laser mouse, think its the MX1000
Have the black one.
Hello! I use the Logitech Marble Mouse....it's one of the older ones & it works for me!! Razen
I bought a Logitech MX1000 today.I think it is great.
Same here on the M$ Intellimouse 2.0 and generic pad. The weight of the Intellimouse did take some getting used to but I do like the way it handles and especially like the side scrolling wheel. Also the Intellimouse 2.0 is great on battery life, a set of batteries last me about 6 months on average.
Also uise a M$ Multimedia Keyboard.
Used for the last 5 years and problaly will use for the next 5..if I live that long (LOL).
I use Microsoft Optical Trackball. It looks clumsy but you don't have to move it - all the work is done by your thumb and index finger. Once you have tried a trackball you wouldnt want to use anything else. Amos.
Microsoft Trackball Optical...no pad..no desk....its on my leg!!...Get the Mouse off the desk, take the strain out of your neck and shoulder, STOPS RMS!!! (90% of carpal tunnel syndrome begins in neck injuries and strain, if there was no direct blow injury to the wrist itself) A small soft pad under the wrist helps prevent undue twisting in the wrist also.
Okay, I've been thinking I was weird and gonna suffer some strange medical problem - but been using my mouse comfortably on my leg since setting up my new computer over a year ago. It's a Logitech MX Duo, cordless with keyboard. I like the extra scroll buttons on it. There was some interference with TV being too close at first, but worked that out and suffer no problems anymore.
I don't have any problems with batteries using the Logitech MX Duo mouse, though I place it back in the recharger each night. We lost power last year when the hurricanes were in season, but the mouse worked great when I powered up the computer after being off for 4 daze.
Rarely there have been times when the mouse is in need of a recharge when I'm still using it. A short time (moments really) back in the recharger puts it back into play easily.
Oh, and regarding mousepads . . . Years ago (when there was a need for such) I saw a leather mousepad being sold for about 100$ in a high-end catalog. It was padded and rich looking. I thought it was a great idea - though hardly worth that kind of money.
So I dug out an old leather purse, cut it up to fit my needs and put it to use again. The raw backing (suede) was perfect for holding it in place on my desk and the leather is just the right texture for mouse rolling.
Maybe everyone doesn't have access to a leather coat or purse to butcher up, but if you have something that's not being used anyway, this is well worth it. At least try faking it on the back of a leather coat or something before you find something to cut up!
I use a Logitech Trackman Marble and can't see myself using anything else. It fits my hand perfectly and since it doesn't move I need no mouse pad. I've tried wired mice, wireless mice and touch pads and nothing can compare to the trackman imho
I work with CAD all day. I use a Kensington Turbo Ball with a Kensington gel pad. Sure saves the wrist.
