rpcss damaged

by yaakovhillel - 4/29/05 7:38 AM

one of my computers immediately after booting up shows a message that rpcss is damaged or missing. I found the file removed it and reinstalled by copying with a diskette from another computer but to no avail.Every so often I recieve a message that explorer has done some illegal act and I have to restart the computer. Any Ideas on how to solve the problem? Computer has a 1.7celeron cpu, 256 ddr, lots of room on the harddisk the OS win98se

This is the Virus and Securities forum. You might get a better response in one of the Computer Help forums. Here is a link for one of them.
